STAINLESS STEEL DO’S & DON’TS

Stainless steel appliances are primarily made of a combination of metals, which is why regular cleaning is essential to keep the protective layer of stainless steel intact. Neglecting it can lead to scratches, dullness, and wear.

When abrasive cleaners are used, they can scratch and weaken the protective layer, resulting in rust formation over time

DO: Use mild dish soap & water to clean using a microfiber cloth to clean; rinse; then dry

DO: Use approved stainless steel cleaner regularly, since many contain a mineral oil which helps the protective layer

DON’T: use harsh cleaning agents, disinfectants, or cleaners that feature bleach, alcohol, or ammonia.

DON’T: use steel wool since particles from the steel wool can become embedded
